A little introduction
These terms explain the conditions for using the Laklak website, language-learning app, and related beta features provided by Orhun Özer, an individual developer based in Türkiye, operating under the name Laklak. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy policy. If you have a question before using Laklak, contact us.
Your account
Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account, subject to applicable law. Do not impersonate another person or share an account in ways that bypass feature restrictions.
You must satisfy the age and consent requirements applicable to you. Features may have additional eligibility rules; Stork mail requires confirmation that you are at least 16.
The private beta
Laklak is in private beta. Features, availability, limits, and supported devices may change as we improve the app. Beta invitations and manually granted Premium access do not promise permanent access or future paid benefits.
We aim to make practice dependable, but beta features may contain errors, experience interruptions, or change. Keep a copy of important original materials and avoid relying on Laklak as your only storage location.
Your notes and content
You retain the rights you have in the notes, images, documents, recordings, and other content you submit. You give us permission to host, process, transform, and display that content as needed to provide your requested features, such as making flashcards or providing speech feedback, and to keep the service safe. Generated vocabulary cards, explanations, translations, and audio may form part of a reusable learning pool. Do not submit confidential or sensitive material for generation. Only submit content you own or have permission to use. Do not upload confidential documents, someone else’s personal information without permission, or copyrighted materials you are not authorized to use. Sharing a message through Stork mail makes it available to the recipients and moderation processes associated with that feature.
AI and learning feedback
Some lessons, translations, conversations, and feedback are generated using AI. Outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or inconsistent. Pronunciation scores are practice feedback, not an official language assessment.
Use your judgment and check important information. Laklak does not guarantee fluency, examination outcomes, professional qualifications, or a particular rate of progress. AI output should not be treated as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Practice with respect
Do not use Laklak to harass, threaten, exploit, or impersonate others; distribute unlawful or abusive content; infringe intellectual property; or collect other users’ information without permission.
Do not attempt to bypass access controls or quotas, disrupt the service, scrape private content, or misuse automated requests. Community features may be moderated, and access may be restricted to protect users. Use the in-app reporting controls or contact support if something is wrong.
Laklak’s materials
The Laklak name, illustrations, app design, and service materials belong to their respective rights holders. Access to the service does not transfer those rights. You may use learning materials for your personal practice as allowed by their applicable terms; do not redistribute the app, art, or content commercially without permission.
Ending or restricting access
You can stop using Laklak at any time and request account deletion. We may restrict or suspend access for abuse, security concerns, violations of these terms, or legal obligations, subject to applicable law.
We may modify or discontinue beta features. Where reasonably practical and appropriate, we will provide notice of material changes affecting access.
Availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care in providing the service, but cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, beta features are provided as available. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Changes and questions
We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the service or applicable requirements. We will identify the updated date and communicate material changes where appropriate. Questions, complaints, or requests can be sent to support@laklak.rocks.
